After Christmas Festivities

After Christmas

The day after Christmas we went to my house for a couple of days before heading home to Washington. The first thing we did when we got there was open MORE Presents. Taylee even more presents. Blaine and my dad made Taylee this fish. Its really cute and will be a perfect keepsake! Taylee loved it too. My dad also made me a BEAUTIFUL full sized mirror. He is so good with wood. I wish I had a picture of it. He did such a great job and it took him many of hours!

Cabin Fever

A couple days after Christmas we were able to go up to my Brother-in-laws family cabin. It was very pretty and we had lots of fun!  We went to a hot springs and did lots of sledding. Taylee loved being outside.

Taylee was very tired after sledding. Brant decided to take her down the first hill and needless to say she was done after that. Her face was covered in fresh snow. We put her into the pickup and she warmed right now and fell asleep.

Yes that is Brant holding Taylee over the balcony, I wasn't there when this was happening! Brant said she really wanted to see the mountain lion! Glad she didn't fall!

New years

Happy New years! For new years we celebrated by EATING MORE. My family has the tradition of creps with all the fixing you can imagine! I seriously feel like I have gained 10 pounds over the holiday. Its not good to look pregnant..... when your not! We had so much fun being in both Blackfoot and Parma. We have been blessed with the best families. They show up nothing less than love and support. We love them very much and wish we could be with them more often.

So Taylee has started doing this new dirty look face and its the cutest and funniest thing ever. If looks could kill.... people would be in trouble after her dirty look.

I can't believe another year has past. Brant and I feel so blessed and can't wait to see what the next year will bring! Taylee has been so much fun. She brings so much joy and happiness to our lives each and every day! Happy New years to everyone!

Christmas in Blackfoot

We were able to spent from December 18th thru the 26 in Blackfoot. We had so much fun and it flew by way to fast. The day Dallin got home (the 18th) Brant's Aunt Amy started going into labor and had her baby later that night. We got to go meet her the next day and it was so much fun. They named her Sophie and she is honestly one of the cutest babies I have ever seen. I couldn't believe the hair she had. She has more hair than Taylee and we have been working on that much hair for a year! Sophie really is darling. Makes me want to have another baby. I just wish I could just go to the hospital and pick up my baby and not have to be pregnant for 9 months. :) Oh well. Its worth it when they are here.
We were able to go to I-Jump before Christmas and it was a lot of fun. I had never been to a trampoline place before. We jumped our little hearts out. Taylee loved it. We would slide her down the side of the tramps and she loved it. I throught she would be scared. She is a dare devil... she doesn't get that from me. I'm the biggest scary cat.

There is a horse outside Angie and Blair's townhome and Taylee loved it. That's the first thing she wanted to see as soon as she got up in the morning and after every nap. Taylee loves animals. Hopefully someday we can get a dog or something.... but that won't be for a while. Until then we will just have to visit "Jim" the horse when we go to Blackfoot.

It was Taylee's first experience with snow and she loved it.... till she fell and snow on her hands. She loves to be outside. She doesn't care how cold it is she would be outside all day.

Christmas

Christmas Eve was very relax which was really nice. There was a flu bug going around and Angie, Dallin and I all happen to caught it. I took some type of anti-nausea medication and it made it feel so weird all day. I pretty much slept and wasn't coherent all day long. Thankfully Taylee had people to watch her... Chrsitmas Eve we went over to Brant's grandparents and had French dip sandwich and a small program. It was great to listen to more of Dallin's mission stories. He really did a great job!

Christmas Morning did start out to early thankfully. I think we were up by 7:30 or so. Taylee did a pretty good job opening presents this year. She got a little bored towards the end. She got a shopping cart, clothes, basketball hoop, putter and tons more. She is so spoiled! Christmas is so much fun with kids. After opening presents we ate strawberry waffles which is one of the Truman Family traditions. They were very tasty! The rest of the day we just relaxed and enjoyed one another company. It was a great Christmas!

Brant made a coffee table out of wood crates. Its so cute! I'm so excited to get it stained and put it in my apartment. He did such a good job. Brant's mom made us a super warm and cozy blanket, which will be put to good use!

Uncle Dallin and Taylee finally meet.

Brant's Brother Dallin has been serving a mission in the Little Rock, Arkansas Mission. He got home on December 18th. Just in time for Christmas. We were so excited that Brant was able to take off work so we could be there. Taylee wasn't sure what to think of Dallin at first but she warmed up to him during the time we spent in Blackfoot. It was a lot of fun to be there for a missionary homecoming. I have never experienced that before, My brother Kirk hasn't even left on his mission yet and I'm already excited to see how much he will have changed when he gets home. Dallin was such a wonderful missionary and we are so proud of him and grateful for his example. We also loved all his stories about his mission that he shared.
